Mixed Results For Deeside

Deeside came away with mixed fortunes after some 'creative' judging at Dumbarton. With the piping marks being at completely different ends of the board it was difficult to know what to take away. However, satisfied with our own performance and with numerous compliments from other bands the band can feel confident about future competitions this season.

The day was one of changeable weather, mixing rain, wind and varying temperatures, which all played its part in affecting the drones and drums.

Grades 1 and 2 were once again a fiercely fought competitions, with 13 bands in Grade 1 and 21 in Grade 2. Field Marshal and Clan Gregor taking the respective titles.

Grade 3A and 3B were won by Lochgelly High school and Quinn Memorial with Seven Towers and Stow taking the Grade 4A and B honours.
