| eeside once again
got off to a flying start ahead of its 2007 campaign by successfully defending both the grade 3 and grade 2 titles in the North of Scotland Quartets at St Macher Academy.
The first band, which was led by Pipe Corporal Robert Grant, was called down several minutes ahead of time. This caused the band to stand in the cold hallway, which unsettled the drones. However, the drones settled once on stage again and the quartet gave a performance which was good enough to win them their own grade. Unfortunatly circumstances did not fare as well for the second band in Grade 3 who for various reasons had their performance compromised and came in ninth.
However, it was all go again for Grade 2 in which Pipe Corporal Robert Grant led on a band who successfully fought off stiff competition from Buchan and Bucksburn to win the grade up for the second year in a row..
Here's hoping this is a good sign for the upcoming season!
