| eeside's
pipers took top honours at the 1st competition of the season
by winning both grade 3 and Grade 2 at the Quartets in Aberdeen.
In doing so they have hit the ground running and have set
the standard for the band for the rest of the year.
While
both performances may not have been 100% to the players liking
it will give them undoubtable confidence in the MSR which
the band will have to play at the Worlds in August. Indeed
if the band can maintain or even improve on the high standard
it set on Saturday, Deeside has every right to feel optimistic
for the forthcoming season.
The
grade 2 competition returned this year after being replaced
by an open grade 1 last year, which Deeside also won.
