Deeside continues good form

eeside continued its good early form with a 1 - 2 in grade 3 at Mini Bands. For the first time in a number of years Deeside decided to play two bands in Grade 3 as well as playing a single band up to Grade 2. While such a move can make or break a competition, it turned out to be an astute move as Deeside 'B' took top honours in both piping and drumming while Deeside 'A' came second in piping and third in drumming.

With the presure off for Grade 2 all players involved agreed that it was a much more relaxed performance with a great balanced sound within the band. Another good performance from the band netted the band fourth behind Bucksburn and Buchan.

After another great result for the band, Deeside is now getting down to some hard practice to try and make its mark at the first major in Dumbarton.

Until then........
