Deeside takes 3rd at Aberdeen Games

fter an "interesting" result in Turriff, Deeside were keen to put on a good display at Aberdeen Games to set itself up for the worlds. Once again things did not go smoothly in the build up with the bass drummer breaking both his sticks 3 days before the competition. However thanks to some quick work by Kenny McAskill, all was not lost!

The weather was threatening to rain all morning but thankfully stayed dry for the performances. A few mistakes were made in Grade 3 leaving the band more determined for grade 2. The second performance was felt much better and had a better control to it.

Both performances received 3rd in their respective grades, which while not the results the band had hoped for, was respectable and gives the band a good foundation to build on for its assault to win the worlds in August!!!!!!!!
